CHICAGO, Ill – Revat classes are part of the After School Matters program (ASM) at the Chicago Public High School mentioned by President-elect Barack Obama as the model of a future school system in his September 2008 Speech on Education.

Revat training is offered as an initiative towards decreasing gun violence on Chicago’s streets and neighborhoods. Austin Polytech Academy has teamed up with WT Chicago, Inc. to offer regular classes and training in Revat self-defense. Revat offers the right mix between appropriate self-defense training and helping prepare teenagers for a successful career of their choosing.

Revat classes are taught in a fun class environment that teaches teenagers about teamwork, leadership, commitment and knowledge.
